Dzidefo is a sewing cooperative for women. Dzidefo is a word from the Ewe language meaning, “there is hope”. Dzidefo is a small textile cooperative of young women from the Volta region of Ghana, Africa. These women make delightful toddler’s clothing and personal accessories. The fair trade income generated by this work goes to providing much needed daily essentials like food, medication and educational fees. The fabric in the products is pure, 100% Ghanian cotton. It is locally designed and printed using authentic traditional patterns and hand-dyed woodblock prints. These products are for sale. |
